Tomika joined LFA in 2022 and brings her experience as an educator, independent consultant, nonprofit leader, and diversity practitioner to her role as consultant.
At LFA, Tomika’s work includes evaluation, research, and capacity-building across a range of content areas. She partners with mission-driven organizations to achieve their goals and expand their impact. She takes a collaborative and community-based approach to her work; believing rich, potentially untapped, and vital spheres of knowledge exist within communities.
Tomika has experience guiding leadership development and equity-focused initiatives within the public and private sectors. She considers it her life’s work to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice efforts within organizations and in service to marginalized communities.
Prior to joining LFA, Tomika worked in the nonprofit and education sectors, with a focus on youth development and K-12 and higher education. She believes in the potential and power of research and evaluation to ultimately improve educational outcomes. Tomika has applied the lens of both a researcher and practitioner to effectively design, implement, and improve practices, programs, and policies for various organizations, at Girl Scouts of Greater New York, through a multiplatform coalition of the New York City Council, at Barnard College of Columbia University, and at DePaul University.
Tomika loves music and singing, exploring new cities, spending time with family and friends, and growing her Spanish language skills.
