Annie Lindsey has been with Learning for Action (LFA) for 12 years, where she has shaped a unique role that blends her dual passions: data and design. As LFA’s Graphic Design Lead & Research Specialist, Annie bridges the gap between raw data and meaningful engagement by transforming complex findings into accessible, visually compelling stories.
With over a decade of experience in quantitative analysis, Annie is highly skilled in SPSS and enjoys the challenge of detailed data management and statistical testing. She finds data work both engaging and rewarding, especially when it leads to uncovering insights that drive learning and program improvement. Annie leads data deep-dives and facilitates reflection sessions to help clients translate numbers into tangible impact. She is known for building data confidence and capacity among both clients and LFA staff, helping people not only understand their data, but get excited about it.
She brings a deep understanding of how to graphically design deliverables that are digestible and engaging for diverse audiences, including board members, funders, stakeholders, and community members. Annie is experienced in designing a wide range of data visualizations, including charts, infographics, and other visual elements that bring quantitative data and narrative to life. In addition to her data work, Annie uses her design expertise to develop engaging, brand-aligned theory of change documents for over 40 organizations and counting. She approaches each client engagement with a focus on the end user, asking the right questions to ensure the content is clear, accessible, and meaningful to a broad audience.
Annie holds a Master of Science in Housing and Regeneration (Social Policy) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from San Francisco State University. She also earned a Certificate in Graphic Design from the University of California, Berkeley Extension. Before joining LFA, Annie worked for the London-based economic development consultancy, Shared Intelligence and KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy.
Annie was born and raised in the East Bay. She enjoys exploring California by motorcycle, rooting for the 49ers, attending to her large collection of succulents, and relaxing in Santa Cruz.
